3. Beam Me On!

In this class, you'll take pre-wound warps from our Walk in + Warp segment and master the art of beaming them onto your loom—no prior loom beaming experience required. 

Learn to transfer your braided warp, position it on the warp beam, spread it evenly, and wind it with tension so consistent you'll wonder if a robot helped. This essential warping step sets you up for success before tackling the next challenge: Threading in Order (aka "how do I get all these threads through those impossibly tiny holes without losing my mind?").

We are an "it depends" studio. There is never just one way to do anything. Because how you beam on may depend on a few different factors. We will discuss these factors and how each student can decide what works for them. 

Once all the tiny threads are threaded—a feat requiring the patience of a saint and the precision of a surgeon—you'll graduate to the Tying or Lashing On? segment. Master that, and you'll finally earn the right to actually weave something beautiful.

No supplies are needed for this class, simply show up. If you want to take notes, please bring your required note taking supplies!

This class runs approximately 3+ hours but we add optional time on the end for questions and mistake solving.
