8/4 Maurice Brassard Cotton

8/4 Cotton (also known as 4/8) is a weaving staple for many weavers. It is perfect for weaving towels, clothing, baby goods, and table linens and whatever your weaving heart desires.  

Cotton is absorbent making it excellent for towels. It is strong enough for warp, washes well and stands up to wear and tear. And Maurice Brassard has an extensive color selection.

Suggested Sett:

• plain weave: 10-12 epi for a nice drapey cloth
• twill: 12 epi for a lightweight drapey cloth to a sett of 15-16 epi for firm placemats.
• All cotton changes as it is washed and this cotton holds up well in the washer and dryer.
